Frequently asked questions
The TutorPod Foundation is an upcoming high class tutoring institution for children between the age of 5 and 18 for core subjects. We aim to help aspiring students of different backgrounds achieve the grades they want in key examinations like SATs, GCSEs and A-levels. Alongside this we do Personal Statement checks for university and Mock Interviews and preparation for Dentistry. Our tutors have experience teaching students with health conditions and learning difficulties.
A good tutor is capable of picking up any shortcomings in understanding of a topic as well as gaps in fundamental knowledge as well as filling these gaps and initialising progress in weak areas via covering lost or forgotten content as well as practising content using exam questions.
The selection of tutors is done based on the strengths of each tutor aligned with the weakness of the student. Its also essential to be able to match students with tutors that have experience with their age range as each age requires a different level of experience and assistance.
Not only can sessions be easily rearranged, but the timings are also flexible. There’s also no travel time or costs. Other than this, online resources can easily be shared, and sessions can be recorded if needed.
The cost for each session varies between £20 depending on your package, the subject, age range and any other referral discounts you may collect.
Currently we offer core subjects at KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSEs and Alevels. This consists of Maths English and Science of different exam boards.
Alongside this we also tutor GCSE and A-level Business as well as Dentistry interview preparation and Mock MMIs.
We’re currently working on expanding our subject range in order to accommodate other subjects that students may have a passion to pursue.

Although each tutor has their own unique and special way to teach students, all of which are acknowledged and beneficial, all sessions will be performed over zoom, a universal platform.

Meet an Education Advisor
An Education Advisor will get into contact with you via email, however if your preferred method of communication is phone calls or messages, add your phone number as well as your preferred method in the comments as well as any other important information such as learning difficulties. Your Education Advisor will pair you with the best match for your child, and book in a slot for a trial session at a time that suits you both best. You may also suggest a topic you may want taught in the trial session.

Take a free trial lesson
This is an opportunity for you to meet the tutor that will be benefitting your child in their academics and boosting their grades as high as possible. You’ll have an opportunity to let the tutor know what you think works best for your child and to let them know what subjects or topic areas your child struggles on. The trial session may be based on topics suggested by you or your child. Its favourable to bear in mind the student may not fully understand a topic in a single session, however signs of improvement or understanding should be observed.

Customise your membership
At this stage you can pick how long you’d like your membership to last as well as how many lessons you think your child would benefit from per week. Its always handy to ask the tutor how many sessions they think your child needs based on what they’ve gathered from the trial session. Each child is unique so can require a variety of different levels of attention to help them succeed with flying colours.
